Overview of OFF STRIP WEST Las Vegas Hotels |
|
The Strip may get most of the hype, but many off-strip west Las Vegas hotels and casinos are just as popular. On West Tropicana Avenue, west of South Strip, you will find the Orleans Hotel & Casino, as well as various extended-stay properties. On West Flamingo Road, near the center of the strip and west of the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace, you’ll find the Rio All-Suite Resort, Gold Coast Hotel & Casino, Palms Place and Palms Casino Resort. On Fashion Show Drive home of the Fashion Show Mall, you will find Trump Hotel Las Vegas about three blocks west of the Strip. West Sahara Avenue, on the northernmost edge of the strip by the I-15 intersection, west of north Strip, is home to the Palace Station Hotel & Casino and the Artisan, a boutique hotel. Each of these locations offers wonderful accommodations for people looking for a calmer experience of Vegas with the same upscale atmosphere. Southwest off strip Las Vegas on Tropicana Avenue, the Orleans transports guests to the Louisiana bayou for a deceptively authentic Cajun-style stay at a nearly two thousand-room hotel and gaming resort. From the crocodile door handles to the Mardi Gras masks hanging from its walls, the Orleans offers its visitors a great time without the buzz of Las Vegas Avenue. The building also hosts a large casino with traditional gaming and a great booking bar for sports bets. What’s more, the builders incorporated the indoor ice rink that serves as home to one of Nevada’s minor league hockey teams: the Wranglers. The center-west strip’s best offering is the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. It offers oversized, immaculate hotel rooms for affordable prices and its gaming floor is unique from the common glitz of on-strip casinos. The well-lit gaming area is highly-ventilated and easy to navigate. The most popular games are Craps and Blackjack at this casino, though it offers all of the traditional gaming options from Poker to Roulette and an extensive video poker display as well. The dry north of Las Vegas Avenue, west of the Sahara, is home to Palace Station. This establishment is all about luxurious rooms at strikingly affordable prices. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal for room accommodations anywhere in the city since Palace Station’s rooms come complete with flat screen televisions, pillow-top mattresses, giant bathroom spaces and a desert view that is hard to beat. Yes, there is a successful casino on the floor level, and certainly there is world-class dining within, but for discount room costs alone, there is not a better deal. Many other highlights bring people just like you to the shining center of Nevada, and when it comes to enjoying a relaxed stay away from the brightest lights and the loudest acts, getting away to west Las Vegas hotels is a valuable escape. Many people do not arrive with the knowledge that there is so much to do away from the center strip, and anyone who ventures away is rewarded. There is not much more to say—do not feel obligated to travel the well-beaten path; venture out! |
