| Easy to find on the northern end of the "new" Strip. Near Encore and Wynn.
Nice staff, clean and tidy. Nice pool area. Easy-going place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Just a few little gripes:
1. Shower Pressure: The water pressure on the shower was really (really) bad. Made the shower just barely functional. No sense of "enjoying" your shower though. Too weak a flow to be invigorating. Maybe not entirely their fault though, and the flow restriction may be due to state water regulations. However, I'm from California, and we have pretty heavy restrictions of 2.5 GPM (9.5 LPM). This was much less than that. If i had a wrench with me, i would have taken the head off! The strange thing was the pressure from the sink taps was tremendous - and wasteful. You would use more water just washing your hands, than you would standing under the shower.
2. No free wireless. You had to pay for the wireless internet. You got 30 minutes "free" but you'll burn through that in no time. The internet service is handled by some big ISP that leases time by the day or the hour off your credit card and seems to service several of the smaller 3 star hotels. It was good service, but it wasn't free.
3. The usual (not enough) little soaps and shampoo. This is not really a complaint though, as it was pretty standard for a 3 star type place.
This is a noce place to stay at a good price. It was very quiet, had a nice bar/restaurant downstairs. I didn't eat there, but it looked ok. The pool was great - nice and big, plenty of towels in the room and poolside. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Stay here! You'll like it!! |

| Would recommend the place if you don't mind walking a bit to the strip and pay really good price for it. Since I didn't spend much time in my room, I don't need 5star quality room, I just need 5 star conveniency which is what they have. You can always walk to best casinos, shows and food anyways. |

| The title says it all. Just off the strip and right at the north end. Perfect location with out the the huge price. It a clean place with grate service. Recommend to any one. |

| Older 8 story design on Convention Center Drive between the LVCC and the strip.
TV had a problem; the cable or dish volume was high so the TV volume had to be at the low end of the scale. 1 or 2 was inaudible, three was too loud. I called service, they looked at it but said their was nothing they could do.
Pool is nice.
Restaurant was on "summer hours" and was not open for breakfast. A Denny's and a "Peppermill" were close by so that was not a huge problem. |

| I chose the Royal based primarily on location and price. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel shows signs of being updated with travertine tile bath, updated fixtures and furniture. You can still tell it's an older hotel by some of the paint and the fact that the water drains slowly. The carpet looks a bit dingy, but overall a nice place for the money. If you are in LV for events at the Convention Center, you couldn't beat the convenience of a short walk.
If you're looking for place with lots of casino or buffets, this isn't your place. I don't gamble or go to shows when in town, just business, so I just need a decent place to sleep. This sure fits the bill.
When I checked in, I asked if there was a refrigerator in the room. The desk guy said, "no" and that he could get me one if I changed to a smoking room. I didn't, but was happy to find a fridge in the room after all. |

| close to convention center--close to the strip. Had to ask for housekeeping, left early in the morning and put the maid request on the door. Came back after lunch and about 3pm had to call about housekeeping. Hotel was not overly busy. |

| Much nicer than expected, especially considering the low cost and the outside of the hotel.
Only con is that the walls are very thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbor do EVERYTHING! |

| Great hotel if you are attending the convention center, just a 10 minute walk. Also great to not have to walk through miles of casino to get to the elevators. Nice lobby. There is a bar but it's small, so you'll want to go elsewhere to play. Nice pool area. |

| This is not a casino, but is very close to the strip if that's what you're looking for. Looks older on outside, but very clean inside. Nice staff, nice comfy room with a fridge and microwave. Had a king bed and a murphy bed which was very cool. Nice looking pool that I might've tried if it wasn't Februaury. Tried the restaurant inside and it was pretty good. Would stay there again! |
