If you're traveling with the whole family or a group of friends, you may find that renting a sedan or SUV is the best option. If there are just two of you, a compact rental will suffice for a lower daily price tag. Also decide how far out of town you may travel and how long you'll stay there. Those who just want to sightsee for a day can get away with a more standard vehicle like a compact or mid-sized car.
