LAS VEGAS TIPS AND ADVICE CENTER
Car Rental Basics in Las Vegas
With all of the available public transportation in Las Vegas, NV, you probably don't need a rental car. However, there's quite a lot to see outside the 24-hour activity of the city, so if you plan to take any excursions to Hoover Dam, Lake Mead or the Grand Canyon, it may be wise to rent a car.

There are plenty of vehicles to choose from, but ask yourself what kind will best suit your needs. If you're traveling with the whole family or a group of friends, you may find that renting a sedan or SUV is the best option. If there are just two of you, a compact rental will suffice for a lower daily price tag. Also decide how far out of town you may travel and how long you'll stay there. Campers and outdoorsy folks may find it worthwhile to rent a camper or RV on their way out of Las Vegas. Those who just want to sightsee for a day can get away with a more standard vehicle like a compact or mid-sized car.

You can find car rental kiosks at the airport, but you'll probably pay about 10 percent more, so it's best to do your homework and arrange for a car early.

Driving Las Vegas in Style
For many visitors the whole purpose of traveling to Las Vegas is to live the high life. From high stakes poker to luxury hotel suites with amenities befitting royalty, Las Vegas is the place to splurge. It makes sense that a lot of folks want to rent a car in the city -- but not just any car! This may be the only time in your life you'll get to cruise the strip in a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Limited Edition Mustang convertible, Mercedes, Corvette or BMW, so why not take advantage? There are several car rental agencies that cater specifically to those looking for a little extravagance in their ride while they're in the city. You can even rent motorcycles at select locations as well.

Las Vegas Car Rental Policies

Parking Your Rental Car

Many of the hotels and places of interest in Las Vegas have removed this concern for you by offering free public parking. Here are a few that provide this service:
