| Deals on Las Vegas Shows |
| "If you want to catch a show or two, great Vegas deals can often be found with a simple stop at your hotel's front desk. Here are few quick and easy steps for finding good prices on the best shows in Las Vegas.
1. Do an Internet search for shows in Las Vegas. 2. Select at least five you'd like to see (this is so you have choices in case some are sold out or you can't find a deal you like).
3. Book your hotel. (Preferably where one of your selected shows is playing, but this is not necessary.)
4. Visit one of the discount ticket booths on the Strip. They usually have same day show tickets available at a discount. " |
| Flamingo Las Vegas: George Wallace |
| Comedy shows abound in Las Vegas, but one of the mainstays is the everyman comic George Wallace, who plays at the Flamingo Hilton. He first opened his stand-up show as a trial three-month run, but his popularity extended him to first six months, then a year. Wallace originally began his comedy career as a writer for Redd Foxx. So you can see why Wallace himself works so well in a grumbly old man persona. But more than that, Wallace is also known as one of the best interactive comedians, working his magic with live crowds. His banter is quick, witty and bountifully entertaining. Catch George Wallace at the Flamingo every Tuesday through Saturday at 10:00pm. |
| Harrah's Las Vegas: Rita Rudner |
| One of the most soft-spoken yet powerful comedians alive today, Rita Rudner has earned her stripes as a class act. Using her sharp insight into the human condition (no profanity needed), Rudner excels at pin-pointing the humorous elements of relationships and life in general. Lucky for you, she’s playing at Harrah’s Theater in Harrah’s Las Vegas every night but Sunday at 8:00pm. Be sure to check out her show even if you’re unsure about stand-up comedy. Rita Rudner has been known to turn around even the most skeptical audience members!
Bonus Tip: Rita Rudner also performs her show at The Cabaret Theater at New York-New York -- a space designed specially for her. |
| Las Vegas Hilton: Barry Manilow |
| Barry Manilow is just one of the many reasons to visit the Las Vegas Hilton. His show, "Manilow: Music and Passion,” runs 9:00pm Wednesdays through Fridays, and 7:30pm & 10:00pm on Saturdays. That gives you quite a few opportunities to discover for yourself exactly why Manilow has received as many accolades as he has. Not only has he won the trifecta of Grammy, Emmy and Tony Awards (You may remember the buzz around his crushing Emmy triumph over Stephen Colbert last year!), but he was also a 2002 Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductee. Rolling Stone magazine has dubbed Manilow as "the showman of our generation." Barry Manilow is a must-see during your stay in Las Vegas! |
| Tropicana: Les Folies Bergere |
| What would your trip to Las Vegas be without the showgirls? Come to the Tropicana Hotel to see Las Vegas’ longest-running show, Les Folies Bergere. The leggy, glittering showgirls perform stunning musical numbers in this tribute to Parisian song-and-dance productions. Les Folies Bergere takes a musical journey of the female experience from the 1850s to modern day. You can see the spectacular performances twice a day (7:30pm and 10:00pm) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, there’s also an additional show at 8:30pm.
Bonus Tip: The 7:30 shows are in full dress, while the 8:30 and 10:00 shows are topless. All audience members must be at least 16 years old to attend the topless shows. |
