| A short guide to The Strip |
|
Glittering, larger-than-life gambling palaces dominate Las Vegas Boulevard South, better known as The Strip. Here, hotels are destinations unto themselves. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

| Dining at Excalibur |
|
Feast like royalty, or joke around like jesters at one of the onsite restaurants. Most of Excalibur's dining is casual and family-friendly. You can eat poolside at Drenched, or grab a Starbucks coffee and Krispy Kreme doughnut from the 24-hour Village Food Court. Room service is available 24 hours. Among the offerings:
The Steakhouse at Camelot - Excalibur's premiere dining option, this traditional steak and seafood restaurant features a cigar and wine room and a piano lounge. Watch the hotel's top chefs prepare dishes in the glassed-in show kitchen. Open for dinner only.
Dick's Last Resort - The surly staff at Dick's serves up messy food with attitude. Don't be afraid to dish it back. Watch the big game or enjoy some live music with a Ride 'Em Cowboy Rib Eye and one of 9 flavored daiquiris. If you're crowned with one of Dick's signature paper dunce hats, you'll know why they call this restaurant the "Shame o' The Strip."
Roundtable Buffet - With breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, there's something here for everyone. Enjoy traditional American favorites, as well as Chinese, Italian, and other international cuisine. All day, all-you-can-eat passes are available.
Sherwood Café - Burgers, pancakes, salads, and other classic American fare is served up from early morning to late night at this casual eatery.
Baja Fresh - The fresh salsa bar at this Mexican grill deserves mucho props. The health- conscious menu includes burritos, nachos, and quesadillas, and the restaurant offers a kids' menu.

| Overview |
Excalibur Hotel Casino is one of Las Vegas' top family-friendly and affordable properties, and its south Strip location provides easy access to all the city has to offer. Built inside a fanciful castle, Excalibur has an impressive medieval feel, with moats, suits of armor, and even some real-life jousting. Mix in modern revelry and restaurants, and you've got one unique Las Vegas experience. Cheer on your knight over a fingers-only feast at the Tournament of Kings, Excalibur's popular dinner theater and signature attraction. (The hotel offers plenty of knife-and-fork dining options too, from the Steakhouse at Camelot to the more casual Roundtable Buffet.) Or travel back to the '70s at the Australian Bee Gees Show, where performers keep the original band's popular disco tunes alive in a multimedia performance. Another group of Australian stars, Thunder from Down Under, performs award-winning male strip shows for adults 18 and over. After these shows, you may need a cooldown. Make a splash in Excalibur's all-ages pool, or chill out in style in a cabana at the 18-and-over pool. For some potentially money-making recreation, the casino and sports book offer everything you'd expect from a Vegas casino. If you didn't hit it big, you can still be pampered like a king or queen with a body wrap or facial at the Royal Treatment Spa. The spa's fitness center is reserved for guests 18 and older, but conveniently overlooks the pool area so you can keep an eye on the kids. Prefer a leisurely walk to a full-on workout? Take a stroll through Castle Walk, a medieval bazaar offering everything from Excalibur keepsakes to fudge-dipped apples. (Accessing other Strip shops, spas, and restaurants is made easy with a free tram connecting the Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay--and an overhead pedestrian bridge leads to New York New York.) When you retire to your private quarters, you'll find a room with medieval style and modern amenities, like widescreen TVs with premium cable channels, and high-speed wired Internet access (surcharge). Housed in two 28-story towers, many Excalibur rooms offer great views of The Strip, including skyline vistas of nearby New York New York Hotel & Casino.
