Dining at Flamingo

Whether you’re on the go or looking to take it slow, the Flamingo has a dining experience that’s just your speed. Meet some friends and help them find that “lost shaker of salt” at Margaritaville, or sample some sangria with friends at Carlos n' Charlie's. With buffet dining, a poolside cafe, and 2 food courts, you’re sure to find what you’re craving. Looking for a late-night meal? Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville - Cast off with Jimmy Buffett at the multi-level Vegas outpost of his Caribbean-themed international chain. With 5 bars, a dining room, and patios overlooking The Strip, this spot hosts some thrilling nightlife.

Paradise Garden Buffet - Make a trip--or several!--to this well-appointed buffet while enjoying breathtaking views of the property’s 15-acre wildlife habitat. Keep it light with the salad bar and fresh fruit, or stop by the carving station for prime rib and slow-roasted turkey. Try some sushi, and save room for the decadent dessert bar, which features assorted pies and cakes.

Hamada of Japan - A popular Vegas chain, Hamada became the best through excellence and dedication to traditional Japanese cuisine. These culinary artists are known for their sushi, so step up to the bar for a California roll or the more traditional sea urchin. You can choose to sit at the low tables of the Tatami Room or enjoy show cooking in the Teppan Room.

Carlos n’ Charlie’s - At this Mexican restaurant, you’ll find good times, a party-friendly atmosphere, and a menu full of burritos, tacos, sangria, and--of course--margaritas. From the expansive patio, you can gaze down at the beautiful people in the Flamingo’s pool area.

Burger Joint - Located right off the casino floor and adjacent to the sprawling pool complex and wildlife habitat, Burger Joint offers a diverse line-up of burgers, including the Buffalo Chicken Burger and the Hawaiian Burger. You can also build your own from the elaborate list of burger toppings, such as applewood-smoked bacon and jalapenos.

Spa information

The Spa at the Flamingo has what you need to boost the heart rate--and everything you want to slow it down. At the fitness center, you’ll find a range of top-of-the-line equipment, including treadmills, free weights, and weight machines. Day passes are available for the fitness center, while all-access passes also grant spa entry (surcharges apply for both).

Step into peaceful serenity at the spa, where you can clear your mind with a soothing massage or a relaxing aromatherapy session; facials and body treatments are also available. A day in the desert sun might call for some time in the eucalyptus steam room or a soak in a spa tub (the spa has 3, each a different temperature).

Head to full-service Alexandra salon for a new look, a mani-pedi, or a facial. Located inside the valet entrance, Alexandra also offers a barber shop featuring facials and reflexology for men.

Things to do

The Flamingo established Las Vegas as a hotspot for international entertainment, creating its reputation with regular engagements by the likes of Dean Martin and Wayne Newton. The lights shine just as brightly today: Donny & Marie call the Flamingo Showroom their Vegas home, and George Wallace brings his legendary comedy to audiences 5 nights a week.

Vinnie Favorito, a regular on Comedy Central’s celebrity roasts, turns his sharp wit on his audience at Bugsy’s Cabaret. Bring magic and glamour to the middle of your day with Nathan Burton’s afternoon magic shows. X Burlesque, one of the hottest shows on The Strip, pairs barely there costumes with pop songs and comedy.

A short guide to The Strip

Glittering, larger-than-life gambling palaces dominate Las Vegas Boulevard South, better known as The Strip. Here, hotels are destinations unto themselves. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Recreation

Five pools, a children's pool, and three freeform spa tubs are set in a 15-acre garden. The heated, 80-foot-long, scallop-edged Flamingo Pool is surrounded by huge flamingo statues on pedestals and rental cabanas furnished with phones, TVs, and ceiling fans. A 150-foot water slide leads to three terraced pools connected by short water slides. A sprawling lagoon pool, featuring a swim-in grotto behind a triple waterfall, completes the complex.

Four tennis courts (surcharge) are lighted for night play.

Harrah's Rio Secco Golf Club, 14 miles from the hotel, offers preferential tee times to Flamingo guests. The18-hole championship course is set among the foothills of the Black Mountains. Equipment rentals and the Butch Harmon Golf School are available at the golf club.

  • Overview
The Flamingo was the first casino hotel in Las Vegas, and the iconic neon starburst at its entrance still defines the intersection of The Strip and Flamingo Road. The hotel's decades-long legacy as a staple of the Vegas experience dates to its 1946 founding by Bugsy Siegel. Today, the Flamingo is a casino and resort palace, attracting adventurous spirits to a classic brand of Vegas excitement. The Las Vegas Monorail stops on site, offering you a quick way to get to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Bally’s, and more Sin City attractions.

As soon as you arrive, you'll want to explore The Flamingo's famous 15-acre water playground, where a series of pools, connected via lagoons, surrounds a huge waterfall and a seasonal waterslide. Stroll through the west side of the tropical retreat to find the wildlife habitat, home to swans, koi, turtles, and--of course--a flock of Chilean flamingos.

The festive, Caribbean-style casino may eventually lure you indoors with table games from craps to blackjack, more than 1,600 slot machines (including popular 2-cent progressives), and a race and sports book. The sizable Spa at Flamingo is tempting, too; offerings include separate men's and women's areas, eucalyptus steam rooms, and a fitness center.

When evening falls, the Flamingo's headliner-packed entertainment schedule heats up. Catch Donny & Marie Osmond, comedians George Wallace and Vinnie Favorito, burlesque and magic shows, and more. And you have numerous great dinner options before the show, including show cooking at Hamada of Japan, and gourmet takes on an American classic at Burger Joint. If you need to wet your whistle, stop by Jimmy Buffett’s multilevel Margaritaville, or grab a microbrew at the Sin City Brewing Company. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

To keep up with the Vegas excitement, you’ll need your rest. Flamingo Hotel Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, some with amazing views of The Strip. You can connect with friends via wireless and wired high-speed Internet access (surcharge), or unwind with premium cable channels and pay movies; video games are also available for a surcharge.
