| The people that work there are awesome. We were there for a week of dirtbiking in the desert. The valet knew all the great spots. We were pulling a trailer and they kept an eye on it for us. The restaurant staff was great. |

| The entire place has just been re-furbished so it is clean. The rooms are small but I didn't go to Las Vegas to stay in the room. This is 1 block from the Fremont Street Experience so as I am familiar with Las Vegas I was aware that the surrounding neighborhood is not the safest. You must be careful when downtown. The only complaint I really had is the bed was really hard. The casino was small, tiny, but worked well as it was nearly empty. Great value for the money spent. |

| This is my 3rd time staying at the Gold Spike. I arrived at 12:15 on Oct 30th and was accommodated even tho it was not 4PM. Stephanie at the Front Desk was professional and very personable.
My room was clean and comfortable as always.
I like the fact that they now have Card Key for the elevator. I was there in July 2011 and they did not have this feature.
I don't mind getting ice at the bar.. every one is so nice, especially Heather.
I love the Gold Spike and would stay no where else.
I also won 60 dollars on The Wedding Party Slots as soon as I arrived!
Don't let the Hater Reviews deter you from this fine Hotel if you are on a budget.
It is close to Fremont Street and I felt safe at night as I was traveling alone. I LOVE THE GOLD SPIKE! |

| Does having a swimming pool make you a resort?? Not for me. The employees we came in contact with were all VERY friendly and welcoming. However the dining room is FAR from pleasant and really this is just NOT a resort any way you look at it. Would have been worth the rate without the resort fee I guess. |

| Great value hotel near downtown Las Vegas and near bus to The strip. It's newly remodeled so it feel nice. The pool is real cool also. It surprised me how nice it was for the priced I paid. |

| The rooms were newly renovated and clean. I was impressed. The parking is difficult, but valet services are provided. Not a 5 star hotel, but adequate for the money. |

| I had a nice stay at the Goldspike hotel. Small little place as compared to other hotels but easy to get around the bar was a great place to watch sports as they had a dozen or so flatscreens. One block to Fremont street. the only thing I would change is having a small fridge in the room. I stayed poolside and it rocked! I will stay here again as I'm an easy going low maintenance guest. Clean and lean the way I like it. If your on the "hefty" side of humanity you may find the bathroom a little cramped but decent accomodations at the very least. |

| We did not like this very much.We asked for non-smoking they send us to an all smoking floor, We asked for a king size bed they gave us two double beds. Crappy parking I could not see my car the whole night. And Location sucked |
