The Platinum Hotel and Spa is located on Flamingo Road at Koval Lane just 1.5 blocks east of the Las Vegas Strip near Bally's, Paris, Caesar’s Palace and Bellagio, and just steps from the Monorail. This location is ideal for easy access to all three major convention centers - the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Sands Expo Center, and the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Each suite has all the comforts of home you love yet the sophistication of upscale residential accommodations while you're away from home. There are 255 suites and three floor plans. The Platinum Hotel and Spa is a smoke-free, non-gaming property. Kilawat restaurant specializes in steaks and seafood with edgy American specialty items with a view of the strip. STIR, the coffee bar and lounge, features cocktails and Starbuck's coffee. The hotel includes an outdoor/indoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center and a rooftop terrace. The outdoor pool area includes lounge chairs. A great way to pass the evenings is seated poolside or in the pool's spa tub, where the Las Vegas Strip's evening panorama unfolds in all its neon glory. | We were pleased to see that the hotel is only a block from the Strip, making it an easy walk. Room service was fast and delicious. Rooms were lovely. Beds were comfy. Spa tub was AWESOME. All staff were great. Couldn't be more pleased.
We did have some crazy loud kids (like 20 of them!) partying in the room next door one night, called the desk, they immediately warned the kids to stop or they'd be kicked out. Noise didn't stop, so 10 minutes later, they were indeed kicked out. Staff acted very fast and efficiently. |

| The Princess Suite is large with stainless steel appliances, fireplace, Bose Wave radio, full size W/D and jacuzzi bathtub. They provide additional services such as grocery shopping and the usual ammenities (i.e. WiFi, spa, gym, pool etc.). The neighborhood is not in a premium spot (you are directly adjacent to a 7-11 and gas station), so I suggest spending a little extra for the View; it makes an incredible difference. Having said that, you are within walking distance to the Strip. I would advise that you check directly with this hotel if you make a 3rd party reservation to ensure that your reservation exists and also confirm your room type. I would recommend this hotel if you have a party of 4-5 and staying for about a week. If you are here for just for the weekend and with a small party, I would suggest staying on the strip at an all inclusive (i.e. casino) hotel with larger choices of restaurants, shopping, theaters etc. as you are not likely to do much cooking or washing in such a short period. |

| Fairly convenient to strip, across from my favorite low-key casino the Weston. The apartment option allows for hunkering down when you don;t feel like going out - fireplace is great, as is having laundry in the room. Nice pool. A little too much "local color" hanging out on the street (but little they can do about that). An enjoyable stay and I will return. |

| The front desk person was very considerate regarding placement of room. A complementary room upgrade was also provided which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The parking valets were courteous and prompt and it truly was a complementary service. |

| This hotel is fantastic. The staff was exceptionally nice. Everyone said hello and good-bye when you came and left. They opened doors and valet was extremely fast. The room was wonderful. Great view of the strip with a sweet balcony. Awesome shower and jacuzzi.It is a tad bit off the strip but still close enough to all major sights. I will be coming back here again. |

| This hotel is amazing. The lobby is small, so getting to your room is super quick!..The room is just as described and the staff is amazing! Every staff member I encountered was nice, and they called back to make sure we got towels, etc. (Probably the best staff I've ever experienced, and I've stayed in 5+ different hotels in Vegas)..I believe they put is in a corner room because they knew we were young (there to party) so we wouldn't disturb all of the other more quiet guests. We played our ipod night/day and never got a single complaint! The rooms must have thick walls and our location was perfect! Cab fares were anywhere between $6-$12 to get almost anywhere on the strip. Overall, this hotel is amazing (my other 12 friends who came to the room would agree!) Love it! |

| the room was very nice. included a kitchen, fridge and couch. bathroom was very nice. staff were very pleasant.
this was an ideal hotel except the location, which was about 15 minutes from strip (closest casino was Ballys).
i don't really gamble so the fact that there no casino downstairs did not bother me one bit.
also, the place was relatively quiet.
parking is valet only.
if you don't mind walking, this place is great.
if you don't mind that there is no casino or variety of restaurants downstairs, then this place is great!! |
