| I am not a fan of "nice" hotels. You have to pay for everything. No coffee maker in room, had to go buy an expensive cup downstairs. Couldn't use their stocked fridge for your own drinks, as you were charged if you removed something from it to make room. Couldn't use the advertised lazy river feature in the pool without buying one of their innertubes. They nickel and dime (five and ten dollar) you to death.
Also, this hotel was dull, as far as nightlife was concerned. No place to go dance...just eat, drink, gamble and shop. The stores were upscale, but not as swanky as some of the fancier hotels.
The decor was tasteful, but when in Vegas, I want a bit of glitz, so in my opinion, it was boring. The room (suite) was very spacious, but if they were going to go to the expense of a 2nd bath, they should have gone ahead and put a shower in it. Incidentally, they tack on a charge for each guest over the standard double occupancy, yet they don't give you 4 robes/slippers or extra towels.
It was on the far end of the strip, as I am sure many people have mentioned, but it really doesn't matter to me. You walk your legs off no matter where you stay...and, fortunately, I like to walk. |

| The suites are amazing...beautifully appointed and QUIET. It is grand in every sense of the world. The lobby can be somewhat confusing...always got lost but no big deal. Rooftop bar is something to see...they have a reasonably priced cafe in the lobby which means you don't have to stand in line at Starbuck's for 45 minutes. Great wave pool and beach...can't wait to stay there again. |

| I had a suite at The Hotel. They upgraded me to a 2200 sqf room for a fraction of the original price. Extremely satisfied and will most likely stay there again. |

| It's a very nice upscale hotel. However, for the money, it's not a good value. The service was good and the accomodations were also good. For the price, I'd expect a lot more. |

| This hotel was very nice, but I was extremely disappointed in the poor service. Not only could no one help charge my iphone, but they constantly sent me walking across the hotel looking for someone else to ask. A cocktail waitress spilled beer and tequila on me, didn't apologize, and when I told a manager what happened, he directed me to the nearest bathroom and gave me some wet naps. Disgusting. |

| Great room. Large and beautifully done.
Too much noise from their very popular rooftop club.
Too many long walks through the casino to get anywhere. Lobby was a bit odd and confusing and not very welcoming. They have a wonderful wave pool and a decent "lazy river" pool. We were there with kids and spent most of our time swimming. The public spaces at Mandalay Bay are not as well done as some of the other casinos. We ate at Raffles (casual dining) which was bad and at THE Cafe which was good. The high end restaurants all looked like you were eating in a mall, so we didn't bother with them (although we had fantastic meals at Postrio in the Venetian and CraftSteak in the MGM)
Overall I would say that THEHotel had a reasonable friendly staff and, again, great room. One of the nicest I've ever stayed in. And there were great pools. Mandalay Bay Casino however was a bit lackluster. |
