I had been looking for a hotel stay for the past month and wanted to be on the strip. This hotel kept coming up but I was very questionable due to the reviews I was seeing that other customers had BAD service, and dirty rooms. My outlook is, if the hotel stay is appealing to you try it out. I was sketchy at first but figured if it didnt work out, I wouldnt be returning. I in fact not only enjoyed my stay but will be making sure I return to that hotel again. Its convienent (right on the strip), returants are to die for (Highly Recommend Tenders!!!), and the pool area is amazing! It just goes to show that one persons bad expierience could be apart of another's memories! Good Luck!

Luxor is impressive and good location, but very disappointed in the room given us at first. It was the farthest room away from the elevators (longest two hallways I've ever seen), in the far corner of the Pyramid. The a/c was not working properly, so Eng. had to be called in the 1st rm., on a day with 104 degree temp. outside. Also, poor communication with the Bell Hop service. They beat us to the room, since it was such a long walk, and left w/o leaving us notice, or calling to see if we had arrived. They use the service elevator which is much quicker. We finally called them after waiting quite awhile for them to arrive. Also, pool closes at 8pm, not 10pm like all the other hotels we stayed in on our road trip. We only had one night there, and the whole eve. was taken up with getting another room, getting our baggage. Went to bed exhausted, after a 8 day road trip. Everyone was very friendly, and helpful .

In a town full of new hotels, Luxor is aging quickly. While they rehabbed the public spaces, the rooms need a rehab badly! Would only stay here for a show if Mandalay was booked solid.

Initially we were to stay in the pyramid room, that was crappy, and stinky and there was a wet spot on the floor next to the air conditioning. We asked the front desk if we could get another room, and we basically were upgraded into the east tower. Those rooms are sooooo much better and was happy. I am so glad we got upgraded..I would recommend luxor if you stayed in the tower rooms and not the pyramid rooms, but overall i was really satisfied with there service and hotel.

Our flight got in early, and they were very accomodating. The room was ready, so they let us check in early. They also gave us an hour grace period to check out. Room was nice (nothing spectacular). Only complaint is that the shower pressure wasn't great (but that's just something I look for!) and they didn't give us extra pillows. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

The room was a good value and the fitness center was well equiped. A surprise "resort fee" was added to the cost of the room. It was approximately $14/day and payable on check in.

The room was nice and clean. It was roomy and was easy to get to. The bathroom drain was slow so we showered in water up to our ankles. There was only 1 bath towel in the bathroom when we first arrived. Housekeeping was very pleasant. All in All the room met our expectations.

I didnt have a bad experience but my complaints are: Rooms are getting dated and need updates. Having said that they are doing updates and you can smell strong paint or cleaner odor in some parts of the pyramid. The room AC units dont work very well. The mandatory "resort fee". If its mandatory it should be bundled into the price. If you want to see the main part of the strip this hotel is on the South part of it and it is a hike to get anywhere. While I did have complaints I would stay again if the rates were competitive. I got a better deal at the Monte Carlo for the second part of my trip and its much better.

The first room that we were assigned both mattresses were sagging horribly in the middle. We called and got moved too another room in which the mattresses were still sagging, just not as much. We were informed that the rooms were being renovated from the bottom up. Of course wew didn't get a renovated room. The floor we were put on they were in the middle of redoing the elevator bay. Bare drywall exposed, buttons for the elevator hanging out of the socket.
