| Hotel Features |
The lobby at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino features a quiet Check-In distanced from the casino, with marble floors, square columns and an aquarium. STRIPSTEAK, the Michael Mina eatery, features purple lounging chairs, blue sectional sofas and A5 Kobe steak flown in from Japan. "Wine angels" ascend to pluck choice wines from a four-story wine tower at Aureole. The Event Center hosts Mandalay Bay Fights, USC, conventions and various concerts with a capacity of 13,000 people. Real California white sand cushions toes at the Mandalay Beach, where a wave pool produces up to six-feet-tall waves. (Pool/beach has a seasonal closure from 11/15/10-2/28/2011 and Moorea is utilized as the hotel pool during this period; admission and age requirement are waived.) The Beach Concert Series, a seasonal weekend performance, features live entertainment staged over the wave pool. An adults-only, topless beach, Moorea, occupies a secluded spot near the pool area. Spa Mandalay pampers guests with massage treatments, a redwood sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, a cold plunge pool, clothing-optional spa tubs and a 30,000-square-foot fitness center.

| Overview |
|
Life's definitely a beach at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, this 43-story "seaside" resort offers a free monorail connecting to the main Strip--in case you feel like leaving. But chances are slim. The sandy beach, wave pool, 20 restaurants, and 135,000-square-foot casino make this resort a great spot to spend your entire Sin City stay. The 11-acre Mandalay Bay Beach, complete with 2,700 tons of real sand, provides a refreshing oasis from the desert heat. The wave pool tops off the experience--and families, especially teens, will love the lazy river. With a beachside casino, the Beach Bar & Grill for a quick bite, and rental cabanas, you'll be tempted to stay all day. But you're in Vegas after all, and Lady Luck beckons. At the Mandalay Bay Casino, you can play your favorite games in a tropical setting of flowing water and lush foliage. The casino's race and sports book is one of the city's top choices for pari-mutuel wagering on all major horse-racing tracks. For a completely different animal attraction, visit the Shark Reef (surcharge), North America's only predator-based aquarium. This 1.6-million-gallon saltwater habitat features more than 2,000 sea creatures, including 15 species of sharks. If shark-watching makes you hungry, choose from more than 20 restaurants and lounges, from fine-dining destinations helmed by celebrity chefs to burger joints and 24-hour cafés. Mix, created by world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse, showcases French and American creations, complemented by show-stopping views of The Strip. Lovers of Italian food will want to try Trattoria del Lupo by Wolfgang Puck. After dinner, head to the House of Blues for a variety of music by top artists like Stevie Nicks and Bob Dylan. Or see world-class performers and sports showdowns at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Hotel Rooms set the stage for relaxation and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows create a show of their own, with dramatic views of the city, Mandalay Bay Beach, or the rugged hills. Pillowtop beds, 42-inch plasma TVs, and stone-clad bathrooms with jetted tubs and their own TVs mean you'll look forward to turning in, no matter how much fun you're having.
