When we checked in, the desk clerk greeted us. He informed us that we were going to be upgraded and to our surprise, we were in one of the tower suites. Wished we could have stayed more than one night. The food was wonderful in their restaurant.

Since the Rio is not on the strip, it is a good place to relax, and get away. If you want to hit the strip, there is a free shuttle that will put you there. The hotel is clean, and the employees are friendly, and helpful. We will stay here again.

Room was large. The room next to us had children, but we could not hear them until we were outside our room. Inside, we could not hear anything from the room next door.

Hotel was great, as usual. Only issue was that I received 2 double beds instead of the king size bed that I had reserved. Hotel staff simply said that they didn't have any of the rooms that I reserved and that my reservation was merely a "request". So basically you can reserve the room, and pay for the room, but don't expect to actually get that ro  om!

Excellent hotel. Great food. About 1 miles from the strip but available via hotel shuttle every 30 minutes.

Smoking is done on each floor near the elevators. Why they don't have non-smoking floors is beyond me- at least for the Ipanema Tower and the ventilation in the casino is not strong enough and all restaurants, save Buzios are open into the smokiness. Restaurant prices rather up there.

Hotel was pretty good. I don't have any complaints. Tell you this... The little deli next to the sport book has great sandwiches. I wanted to try there Carnival buffet but the line was too long. Maybe next time. Rooms were big. When you have a couch and recliner in the room then its pretty big. If you looking for a flat screen in room then go somewhere  else. Who stays in the room to watch quality tv anyway?!?!

The Rio has everything the big Vegas resorts have and more. Not only do you get to stay in a suite you have access to the best buffet in Las Vegas, one of the best swimming pools in Las Vegas and one of the better shows in Vegas with Penn & Teller. Location is great as you are close to the strip but far enough away to avoid all that crazy Las Vegas  Strip traffic. I am a local and have been a fan of the Rio for nearly 20 years.

The hotel room was very nice and clean. Although the pull-out couch was not made, even though we mentioned we needed the extra bed space, the housekeeping staff came to the room quickly with the bedding needed. We had to put on the bedding ourselves, though. Overall, a very good experience.

We booked our room over 2 months in advance. When we showed-up, we were told the room we booked was not available and that they would have to put us in a room with (2) queen beds or an ADA room. They offered to upgrade us to a suite for extra money. I really expected the room we booked to be available, and if it wasn't, I really didn't expect to have  to pay for an upgrade. The room we were in was a little bit rough - a few marble tiles missing in the bathroom etc. I probably wouldn't stay here again
