| We were very disapointed to learn the buffet had been discontinued. This caused me and my family to find a near by hotel that featured dining buffets. I will consider staying at another hotel that offers better dining on our next visit. |

| At check-in, I was hit with a surcharge for the pool and fitness center, neither of which did we use. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. A fridge carried an extra charge per night, no microwave available. WiFi was another big charge for 24 hours. The ice machine was free, though. |

| I love the Sahara. It's not too big like the other hotels, so it's easy to get around. The pool is big and beautiful, and not overcrowded. The rooms a spacious, and the service was always fast and helpful. If there were any problems, the staff was quick and eager to correct it. You can eat all night, and the view was great. Overall it is a great place to stay. However, the Caravan Cafe inside the hotel was horrible. We were a party of about 20 people staying at the hotel, since we were there for a wedding. We had three seperate incidents that were awful. First, a few of us ate breakfast at the Caravan. While still finishing coffee, the waitress asked us to leave so that another party could sit down. She didn't ask any other table to get up, just ours. We weren't the only party of five at the time. When one of my travel partners expressed that her coffee wasn't finished, the waitress tried to give her a to-go cup, instead of letting her finish her experience. This was just rude. The second incent happened when seven of us ate breakfast. One of my travel partners sent his steak back after already waiting 30 minutes. The rest of us were half way finished by the time he got it back. It still was not cooked right. Now I have worked in several food establishments. His meal should have been comped. In stead they tried to charge him for the egg he did eat. Common Sense as a food manager, would have been to just comp the meal, instead of nickle and dime him. The last incident, was with only one of my travel partners. She waiting to get served for a long time, and no one ever took her order. The continued to ignore her, as she tells me. She finally had to leave without eating. DOn't get me wrong, the food there is great. The service is AWFUL. We are all doing a family trip again in December, I'm trying not to let it hinder my staying at the Sahara again. |

| Quite neighborhood with neat and cleanliness of the room. There was a "Hotel - Liability" charge of six dollars each person which did not mentioned when we booked online. The double bed is a bit small and the food at Nascar cafe is too greasy. It's a nice place to stay with a reasonable price. |

| Reasonably priced classic hotel.
Good things: Activities for kids/teens. Arcade/Roller coaster/etc. A nice pool with hot tub. Casino with penny slot machines. Room was ok but it would have been nice to have a safe and fridge in the room. Easy access to other nearby hotels, etc. on las vegas strip since it is a stop on the monorail line.
Bad things: Tried to call front desk a number of times but no one ever answered. No problem with other services provided in the hotel such as maid services, waiters, business office.
1st impression: Dirty carpet in main lobby near check in desk and elevator. Replacement would improve the overall rating of hotel.
I would stay again. |

| This hotel is very old but and it needs a lot of work on the hall and lobby carpets, but the room was clean. The staff was nice and very professional. I think it was a little steep but I was at a Star Trek Convention and the weekends are always more. But we stayed Sunday and it was a lot lower price. I would recommend this hotel but don't look at the floors in the lobby. |
