The South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa opened in 2005 and their new, third tower opened in 2008. They now have 2,163 guest rooms that feature top-notch amenities with a calming and relaxing decor. South Point is located on the Strip about 6 miles south of Tropicana Ave. They also offer free shuttle service to and from McCarran Airport, but seats are limited and reservations are required 24 hrs in advance.

With a 4,400-seat arena and 1,200 climate-controlled horse stalls, the South Point Equestrian Center hosts some of the most prestigious equestrian events of the world. The Center features a 250’ x 125’ show-arena floor, a bar overlooking the arena and a concessions & snack bar. The 2,150 guestrooms are embellished with mixed-wood furnishings, paneled draperies, upholstered chairs, framed landscapes and accents in antique gold, peach and claret. Spa information

Spa Costa del Sur provides 40,000 square feet, 28 treatment rooms, and a full-service salon and offers massages, facials, and body treatments in addition to corrective and rehydrating treatments for the face, hands, feet, and body. Ten flavored massage lotions are available.

Spa Costa del Sur also provides steam, sauna, whirlpool, and treatment rooms.

This hotel was wonderful, up-to-date, and clean. The movie theater inside the hotel was very nice. The pool was awesome. It was very quiet away from the main part of the strip, but close enough to drive to shows.

After a terrible year, we REALLY needed to get away for the weekend. We wanted a nice place to stay but were not able to spend a lot of money for a room, so a co-worker suggested we stay at South Point. The price was right but knowing you usually get what you pay for, I was concerned about the quality, so I checked out the reviews prior to booking. It sounded good so I booked the room. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel and the room looked exactly like the pictures on-line. The hotel is rather new and our room was nearly immaculate except for housekeeping forgot to restock the plastic cups and the empty plastic wrapper that the cups would have been wrapped in was inadvertently left behind from the prior guests. (We did not bother asking for new cups, as we didn't really need them). Our room overlooked the pool area, which looked VERY nice. If we had been staying longer than one night, we would have tried out the pool and hot tub. My only other small complaint was we tried to use the express check-out on the T.V.; however, the system was down. We called the main desk and they were very accomodating, they simply checked us out over the phone, saving us a trip back to the front desk. The customer service was awesome! The hotel was further from the main part of the strip than I expected, but it was not a problem for us, as we drove to Vegas and had our own car. Plenty of room in the parking lot to park out front plus there is a parking garage. South Point spared no expense in furnishing their rooms--everything was high-quality! THE BED WAS SO COMFORTABLE--THE BEST NIGHT OF SLEEP WE'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!! We were so impressed with the mattress we looked at the label to find out the manufacturer's info and plan to get one for ourselves. The room furnishings were high quality too--we couldn't help noticing the brand listed inside the drawer of the nightstand--not cheap! We didn't get to spend as much time gambling at South Point's casino as we wanted to, as we

First time taking our kids to Vegas. We were able to check in two hours early which was great! The room was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool,arcade and bowling. Friday they have a Boogie Nights/70's band playing and we had a blast. Saturday was 80's night and that was fun too. Cover was $5, what a deal!

This hotel is located a couple of miles south of the Vegas strip and is much easier to access than most of the hotels located on the strip. The hotel is newer and very clean though not quite as "fancy" as some of the hotels. Stayed in a the penthouse suite and it was very well appointed and comfortable. Had a view directly facing the Las Vegas strip and it was beautiful at night. I will definately stay at this hotel if I return to Vegas.

The room is clean, big and comfort; however, the buffet is not good. we went on Friday night and taste the Friday seafood buffet, but i think the price is not worth it. So if you wanna sleep comfort you can go there, bt if you wanna eat there..."never mind!"

Room was big and nicely decorated. It was truly on the outskirts of town. While they offered a shuttle to the strip, it costs $8/per person. There weren't a lot of restaurants or ammenities in the surrounding neighborhood.

My wife and I have stayed at South Point numerous times and like it very much. The rooms are always clean. We have yet to find a room with any defects serious enough to warrant asking for another. The staff is generally very pleasant and accomodating. The casino is well laid out and the restaurants are excellant. We highly recommend it.

The staff is very courteous, willing to help, very security conscious, and assisted in providing service in an emergency situation when my husband's oxygen cylinder ran out, they provided me a wheel chair to get him up to the room. A previous stay a guard assisted him in a wheel chair when he was having difficulties getting around.

good rooms, clean and quiet, location far away from the strip, but no problem when travelling with car. Casino hell in the lobby, no food or drinks without gambling - but this is Vegas (at least the less expensive edition)
