We enjoyed eating at the buffet, but The Steak n Shakes was our favorite. It was the first time we took our children and we loved the convenience of having a bowling alley and cinema inside the casino and they loved it.

The hotel is great and the staff are very friendly. We like to stay away from all the crowds and just take the freeway to get to certain places on the strip and leave again. It is close to the outlet mall and the freeway.

Large, clean room. Very quiet. Well maintained hotel. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Highly recommended.

Well design to separate Bath & Toilet; Also have a comfortable feel when stay inside the room. Good space for one or two people to stay. If you ride a car, large car parking area which close to either casino & hotel will be a plus to you. Meanwhile, easy to connect freeway and go to Strip in min.

This is a one stop destination. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and most accomodating. Any place that you go, the staff smiles, speaks and says have a good day. Every age is welcome and there are so many things to do, I tell everyone about it. It is so centrally located and convenient for any activity outside the resort. We come whenever we can. Thank  you for everything.

South point is nice, just not to extra oridinary but its nice for people who like to stay off strip and crowd. Rooms are nice, staff is also helpful.

Big, clean room, lots of amenities (bowling, movie theater, pool, restaurants). The Steak 'N Shake was great. My only complaint is getting stuck in the hotel registration line. Once parked there, I had to wait 15 minutes + for cars to be moved so I could get out. I would suggest the valet parking or parking in the lot before checking in.

This is the second time I've stayed at the SouthPoint Hotel and Casino and I know I will be back again next time I'm in Vegas. The price was reasonable and the hotel room was clean. I was pleased to find things that kids could do and a good selection of places to eat inside the hotel. Since I'm not familiar with the places in Vegas, it's good to know  there are some places I can easily access for food. My only complaint would be the air quality in the hotel, I've stayed at other places were the air quality was better, I understand there's bound to be smoke but some places have better ventilation. Aside from that issue, the hotel and my stay was great.

It was my second stay at the South Point. As I travel alone on business, I wanted something off the strip. Cab fare was about $30 each time I needed to visit the strip. I think this place is fine if you have children to entertain. However, I come to Vegas to eat and enjoy a couple cocktails. The bartenders on the main floor ignore you, it took forever  to be waited on. This was after we walked out of the first bar for being ignored. I ate the buffet on my first visit in October 2011- brown lettuce and other food was really not great. I think out of all the food the mashed potatoes were the only palatable item. For the record, I am not normally very fussy when it comes to buffet food. I avoided the buffet this time (Jan 2011) and tried the Coronado cafe. Again the lettuce was brown and wilted. I was very worried about getting sick but all was well and I felt fine. The deli inside the casino was actually pretty good. There is also a Steak & Shake in the casino. The room is very comfortable and clean. I abs. love the rooms, they smell like coconut and I will actually take a real bath in these tubs. It is hard to get a wireless connection in this hotel, I brought my wireless router and it was very patchy. You will notice a lot of the business travelers in the lobby on their computers. Internet & fitness center are an additional fee. The pool area is gorgeous. I recommend this place if you will be eating elsewhere and cab fare or driving is not an issue for you.

Hotel was bright and clean, reception was quick and painless, the room was very large and well appointed, a little disappointed with the pillows, only 3 on a king bed and they were hard, the mattress had some sort of covering on it which crackled but otherwise a great room with wonderful bathroom and coffee maker in room!!
