SOUTH STRIP OVERVIEW

For many years, the Tropicana Hotel & Casino, located on the SE corner of Tropicana Ave and Las Vegas Blvd South, has been the landmark defining the area known as "South Strip". Today, this famous intersection has popular resorts on every corner. Besides Tropicana, the megaresort MGM Grand - a massive emerald gem in the desert sky with over 5,000 rooms, the New York, New York Hotel & Casino, boasting a Manhattan skyline that will surely impress you, the Monte Carlo (next door to NYNY) and the Excalibur Hotel & Casino.
The Strip once ended at Tropicana Ave, but with Las Vegas growth, it now continues south of Tropicana Ave to Russell Rd. The area known as South Strip also includes Luxor, Mandalay Bay, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay and the Four Seasons.
