Location
Located on the northern end of the Strip, the Stratosphere Tower - Casino & Resort Hotel is less than two miles from downtown Las Vegas, Nev. The Las Vegas Convention Center is located two miles away.

Overview
Boasting a 1,149-foot freestanding observation deck, Stratosphere Hotel - Casino & Resort Hotel is renowned for spectacular views of Las Vegas, from the city lights to the desert mountains. The Stratosphere's immediate surroundings on The Strip's north end are quieter than the 24-hour hustle and bustle a few blocks south. But accessing the action is easy with an onsite bus stop and a monorail station within walking distance.

Try your hand at slots and table games in the Stratosphere Casino, or place a bet at the sports book (especially during basketball, football, and racing championship parties). If you don't hit it big, you can still earn your Sin City bragging rights by leaping from the top of your hotel and living to tell the tale: SkyJump, one of 3 onsite thrill rides, is a 108-story controlled freefall offering amazing aerial views of The Strip--if you can keep your eyes open.

Jumping off the tower isn't the only reason to head to the top. The revolving Top of the World restaurant, perched 1,000 feet above The Strip, completes a 360-degree turn every 80 minutes. This casual restaurant specializes in steak, seafood, and decadent desserts. If you just can't get enough seafood, head to the Stratosphere's buffet for all-you-can-eat shrimp and crab leg nights. The after-dinner entertainment comes with a bite too, and a spicy one at that: At Bite Las Vegas, topless vampires perform to hard-rock music. You can also hear DJs spin nightly at lounges like the Air Bar and casino-level C Bar.

When you're ready to take a break, there are dozens of ways to decompress. Work off that buffet dinner any time of the day at the 24-hour fitness center, schedule a massage or manicure at Roni Josef International Spa & Salon, or make the most of the Stratosphere's high real estate--head to the 8th-floor outdoor pool for swimming and sunbathing, or to take in a desert sunset.

Relaxing in your room is easy with 42-inch plasma TVs, pay movies, and wireless Internet access (surcharge). For entertaining groups, get a suite with a separate living room, wet bar, and refrigerator. Most rooms are outfitted with large windows offering stunning views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip.

Dining at Stratosphere

While you might have to ascend several hundred feet to reach your dinner destination, you won't have to leave the Stratosphere to find a variety of dining options. Start your morning off right at the casino-level Starbucks. You can spend a pool day munching on burgers and hot dogs, or get a burrito to go at El Nopal. After dinner, head to the Tower Shops to grab a Krispy Kreme donut or Ben & Jerry's ice cream for dessert to go. And with 24-hour room service, you can always enjoy an entire meal in your room. Among the offerings:

Top of the World Restaurant - The city itself becomes the show at this 1,000-foot-high revolving restaurant. Classic steakhouse favorites are served, as well as innovative items such as lobster tails with red Thai curry and seared Muscovy duck.

Fellini's Ristorante Italiano - An impressive variety of authentic, affordable Italian classics is served up in this casual restaurant. Wall-to-wall paintings in 3 different rooms allow you to dine with views of Rome's Spanish Steps, the bridges of Venice, or the rugged landscape of Sicily.

The Buffet - Grab a made-to-order omelet for breakfast, or sample a variety of Asian and American flavors for lunch and dinner. Be sure to stop by Sunday morning for a champagne brunch and return later in the day for a seafood buffet.

Roxy's - This is the classic American diner. Burgers, fries, and shakes are brought to you by singing servers 24 hours a day in this 1950s-style eatery.

Tower Pizzeria - This casual restaurant goes a step beyond with freshly baked bread for pizza and sandwiches. Order a pitcher of beer and a large salad to share with your meal.
