In the city that sparkles, visitors are never lost for something to do. There is always something exciting happening, but finding free events in Las Vegas might seem like more of a challenge. Shows on the strip can be pricey, and even though you might “break even” while gambling, you’ve got to put up money to make money—and it is just as easy to lose cash in a slot machine (even easier, in fact). Because many people want to stretch their budget and enjoy time in Sin City without going broke, it is good to have a list of fun freebies to enjoy during the day.
One of the most popular free events in Las Vegas is enjoying the Fountains at the Bellagio. The fountains run outside of the Casino resort every 30 minutes, at downtimes, and every 15 minutes during peak times.
The Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand is another fun stop for tourists to make. The glass-encased jungle hosts genuine, eat-you-up lions on display, just like a zoo. The White Tigers at the Mirage are also a popular animal attraction. While guests are at the Mirage, visiting the Volcano is also a free treat worth seeing. It runs every fifteen minutes from dark until midnight each day.
One lesser-known enjoyable event is attending gaming lessons. Every major casino on the Strip offers free lessons for table games. Of course, the goal is to draw new players in, but anyone who has been dying to learn craps without having to waste a sum of money to do so is welcome to learn during the day without risk of loss; there is no need to return and play with real money either, for those who find gambling to be unwise or unprofitable.
Just off the Strip, in Old Las Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience tour is a great activity to finish off an extravaganza of free events in Las Vegas. Tours leave every hour after dark, and display many of the anchor sites that built the diamond in the desert. Guests enjoy an educational tour of the old casino lights and much more. Of course, no one can make money in Vegas without spending some (at casinos, usually), and there is not much in the way of free souvenirs to bring home, but for memories’ sake, one can enjoy much of Vegas without opening their wallet.
