Visitors to the Las Vegas Strip know: there is more to do than simply gamble. Shopping, dining, and going to shows are all a major part of the attraction that keeps the Boulevard busy year round. Anyone who does not find gaming to be their forte might enjoy Las Vegas shopping at any of the many shops and malls lined in between the major resort casinos.
Crystals at CityCenter
Near the MGM Grand, the Crystals shopping center feels like a climate-controlled oasis, with plenty of plants and trees, and outdoor mini-parks. Inside, restaurants like Wolfgang Puck attract hungry clientele and many unique shops—such as Tom Ford, Miu Miu, Kilton, Robert Coin, de Grisogono, Marni, Tiffany & Co., H. Stern, and Mikimoto—draw guests to a shopping experience that is hard to find anywhere else. There is such a large selection of shopping, that just about anyone will find something to spark his or her fancy. The Crystals is open seven days a week from 10am to 11pm, with extended weekend hours (open till midnight Friday and Saturday).
Encore Esplanade
Shoppers looking for an alternative experience might enjoy the Encore Esplanade, open daily from 10am—11pm, with valet parking available at Encore Las Vegas. In the corridor between the Encore and the Wynn, this center offers a nightclub, several restaurants, and shopping for upscale designer fashion. At Hermes, shoppers can find many of the most eye-catching bags and scarves from cutting-edge designers. Rock & Republic offers edgy rock-centered fashion, modeled after its own New York SoHo store.
The Shoppes at Palazzo
Maybe an indoor waterfall sounds refreshing? The Shoppes at Palazzo is not unique in featuring a nature display beneath a stunning roof (since many of the casinos have similar architectural novelties), but the shops and dining within make it even more enjoyable than gardens and the like at other establishments. Palazzo has some of the standard names in Las Vegas shopping. Coach and Ralph Lauren are well-known names, but at Palazzo, shoppers will find the newest fashions, not yet available in their other retail locations. To be the first owner of a new Coach bag, shop at Palazzo. The retail shopping center is open from 10am—midnight on weekends, and 10am—11pm on weekdays.
Shoppers should be aware that all of these Las Vegas shopping centers offer only valet parking. There are no individual parking garages, so either commuting in on a shuttle or keeping valet fare is a good idea. Busy times usually coincide with normal rush hours and extend until the casinos begin to thrive around ten at night. To avoid the rush, shoppers can visit the center during the dinner hour or in the early morning.
