Las Vegas is for shoppers. It’s true that gamblers, show-goers and fans of the 5 R’s of stress reduction find a home in Vegas as well, but those who don’t shop do not know Vegas. Among the most stimulating, top-tier Las Vegas shopping experiences available to shoppers are Mandalay Place and the Miracle Mile Shops. Those looking to enjoy a relaxing stroll through a variety of shops and restaurants will enjoy Mandalay. Everyone who wants a futuristic, exhilarating experience should make a beeline to the Miracle Mile.
Mandalay Place
At Mandalay Place, shoppers will find such novelties as “Minus 5,” a frozen bar where drinking glasses are fashioned from ice, an all-golf Nike store, a shaving adventure (yes, you read that correctly) for men at The Art of Shaving, and the Maude Boutique, featuring front-line clothing and accessories for affordable prices. Though Mandalay is not as large as the other shopping centers on the Strip, it is the only one that is built totally in suspension, on the sky bridge between the Luxor Hotels and Mandalay Bay.
Shoppers who wish to enjoy the quiet of Mandalay Place can shop between the hours of 10am and 11pm every day. Those looking to make a whole day of it can enjoy lunch and/or dinner at the famous Burger Bar or Hussong’s Cantina. Guests of either hotel connected to the skywalk have access to the hotels’ parking. Other visitors may choose to enjoy valet treatment (various costs apply), or take a shuttle to either hotel’s lobby.
Miracle Mile Shops
At Miracle Mile, the experience is all about going big. With 170 shops, no one could browse all of the retail that is available in just one visit, and the 15 restaurants that accompany shops in the Mile indicate that this facility draws plenty of repeat business. At Miracle Mile the offerings of food are as down to earth as much of the shopping. Cheeseburger Las Vegas, Churrascaria Brazilian Grille, and Ocean One Bar & Grille are just a few of the selections that pair well with shops like American Apparel, Aldo, Billabong, Aveda and bebe. While traversing the shops, you’ll be awed by the fantastic fountain display, and enjoy the indoor rainstorm.
The Miracle Mile Shops are open from 10am to 11pm Monday through Thursday and 10am to midnight on the weekends. Like most shopping in Las Vegas, the stores are accessible to guests through valet parking. However, shoppers can also look for parking in the adjoined parking garage. Security monitors vehicles so that the lot does not host guests who are not at the Tropicana, Flamingo or Miracle Mile, so parking is usually fairly accessible.
